does 7-dfbx really work?

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

so it was among the top 10 diet pills this one seemed to be the only all natural diet pill so i ordered 1 bottle people were saying they had wonderful results loosing 7+pounds a week…i wanted to know if anyone on here has ever used them and if so what were your results???

please no answers like diet and excersise i will be dieting and exercising still i just would love to drop 30lbs by may 7th my bday

All diet pills has different effects on people, what might work for some it may to work for you. And loosing 7 pound a week is not healthy in the first place. The normal is 1-2 pounds a week and if you stay on track you won't gain the weight as fast as if you we're loosing 10 lbs a week. And remember diet pills even if it says "Natural" it can also have side effects in the short or long run. So be careful!

has anyone tried the south beach diet and does it work?

what does it tell you to do basically?

South Beach is not a bad diet, but there's a problem most people don't look at: If you're overweight, there's a reason for it. The reason is simple: You take in more calories than you burn. So the only way to lose weight and keep it off is to make permanent changes in your eating and exercise habits. South Beach is a pretty good eating plan based on sound nutritional science. Here's the question: Are you ready to do South Beach for the rest of your life? If you do a diet for a while, lose the weight, and then go back to the same old habits that made you overweight in the first place, guess what? You're going to gain all that weight back. So the trick is finding an eating and exercise plan you can live with for the rest of your life.

If you want a plan that will take the weight off and is easy to follow (no counting calories, complicated exchanges, cutting out entire food groups, or giving up everything you love), take a look at this plan:

1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if it’s just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Don’t say you don’t have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you’re worth it, right?

2. Walk as much as you want, but don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat.

3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. That’ll really help you “tone up.”

4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). That’s not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.

5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. People who don’t are 450% more likely to be overweight.

6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because you’re constantly digesting food.

7. Avoid these as much as possible:

– Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)
– High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)
– Fast food
– Junk food
– White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes
– The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)

8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:

– Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
– Beans/Legumes
– Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)
– Dairy products (as long as they’re low-fat or non-fat)
– Eggs
– Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)
– Olive oil
– Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
– Fresh fruits (anything that ends in “berry” is a winner)
– Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)
– Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)

9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day – just don’t overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one “cheat meal” every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you don’t gorge yourself. That’ll help keep you from feeling deprived and it’ll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.

Good luck!

Carba-Nada Low Carb Fettuccine Pasta 10 oz. bag

Carba-Nada Low Carb Fettuccine Pasta 10 oz. bag

Not For Induction or Ongoing Weight Loss Phases of The Atkins Diet! Carba Nada Pasta is a great tasting reduced carb pasta and not an ultra low carb pasta. A reduced-carb pasta with wonderful taste and texture! To top it off, because Al Dente pasta cooks in just 3 minutes, it has a remarkably low glycemic index, slowing the rate at which it is digested. Healthy and all-natural, now you can have your pasta and eat it too! Since 1981, Al Dente’s reputation has been based on its famous “tender but firm” texture that tastes just like home made. Their Carba-Nada line includes Roasted Garlic Fettuccine, Lemon Pepper Fettuccine and Egg Fettuccine. By substituting wheat gluten, fiber, and high-protein soy flour for some of the semolina of normal pasta, Al Dente has succeeded in bringing the total carbohydrate count down to 18 net grams per serving. Al Dente has succeeded in making a great tasting, low-carb pasta when others have failed. Because Al Dente is one of the few pasta companies in the country to sheet rather than extrude their dough, they are able to achieve a texture that is more similar to traditional fresh egg pasta. This method, along with the great, all-natural flavors, give a real taste treat to the millions of people who do not want to give up pasta even though they are on low-carb diets. DiabeticDesign has sold low carb pastas in the past that were mostly soy flour-based and honestly not that great in taste. Al Dente Pasta Company has found a wonderful balance - a great tasting pasta with a lower carb count (18g net carbs per serving) vs. regular pasta (45g or more per serving). Now we know 18g Net Carbs is not right for everyone but when you are close to your goal or want to have that occasional pasta treat, Carba-Nada will satisfy you. Does the south-beach diet work for weight-loss?

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with the diet. If it doesn't work which would you recommend. I dont want to gain any muscles which is why I havent been using the atkins diet.

Not always. But you don't need an expensive fad diet to lose. Start small, choose healthier foods. Limit to only 1 low cal snack a week. No pop either. Even small steps like not choosing both jelly and butter on toast can dramatically help. Excercise, go walkin everyday. The oldest tricks are the best tricks.
