How Does The South Beach Diet Work?

Does anyone have any good Phase 1 South Beach Diet recipes? I am just starting this diet & appreciate any help

    A good recipe for bbq chicken is take 4 chicken ******* and brown them in a nonstick skillet. Then separate in a bowl mix 12oz of diet rite cola and 1 cup of 1carb ketchup. Once the chicken is brown add the ketchup and cola mixture into the skillet. Bring to a boil. Once it boils turn down the heat to medium low and let set for 45 minutes turning halfway. After 45 minutes take the lid off and turn the heat down to low until the sauce thickens (sometimes you have to turn the heat off for it to thicken but it’s usually hot enough your food won’t get cold). It makes a really sweet bbq sauce that I really like. And it makes enough for left overs for lunch or dinner the next day.

    A great dessert for phase 1 also is take a sugar free fudgecicle (sp?) and put it in a bowl and microwave for 10 seconds. Then add 1tbsp of peanut butter and a small amount of whipping cream..mix together in bowl and chill for about 5 minutes. It tastes like peanut butter ice cream.
